Oil Boiler not heating hot water after draining system.

After emptying the water from the lowest drain valve in the house (Bottom of downstairs radiator) and refilling the system. The radiators warm up fine but the hot water tank doesnt. I have turned on the imersion heater and the hot water created runs out the taps fine but the boiler (Kerosene) will not heat the hot water for the taps, only the radiators.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Airlock if pipes to cylinder have vents, or were manually vented

Airlock likely. Check for air bleed valves. If none there, crack the highest joints on primary circuit to let air out. Dont undo fully, just enough to let air out.

Check that the motorised valve is working before chasing air locks
