I just found a small amount of a dark brown/black oily substance under a Danfoss trv that I had turned off the day before. Could this have come from the trv itself or more likely to be a slight leak from the radiator.? The system is quite old but I just moved into the house recently so no details available. It's a newish Baxi combi system with 10mm pipework.

Suspect it will either be coming from the pin or the rad
