ok here is an unusual situation

got a fella who i recently started doing work for as the engineer he used had died just after he had his boiler installed

basically he did not get chance to register the boiler with then(corgi) last year and he has asked me to get the boiler signed off as the estate agents are asking for it

is this legally ok as the gas engineer passed away days after the boiler was installed

I beileve that if you sign the boiler off regardless of the situation you are commiting yourself to the installation of that appliance and could be subjet to an inspection of it

so its been installed nearly a year and he hasny found anyone to sign it off because of a supposed dead engineer
i trust no one i find it easier that way

Agreed.
Sounds like he is talking BS....

I wouldnt put my name to it unless I have seen the whole install from top to bottom, including floors up where need be.
