old Map/Pro gas canisters

Whats the most responsible way of deposing of your old used Map/Pro canisters,it would be a great idea if the merchants did an exchange system?.

tat yard maybe? most of the sites i have been on recently have got a seperate waste container for non refillable gas bottles. Many of the larger companies especially energy companies will not use Mapp type bottles and have reverted to primus becasue they have a smaller carbon footprint or whatever you call it?

Just chuck it in the skip. All the waste gets sorted when they empty the skip anyways. Oh, and if someone tells you that your not allowed just take it out and when there gone chuck it back in and hide it under some rubbish.

What was wrong with the primus bottles? and you could use them as a hammer if you were stuck!

I used to wonder about this when they first came out but i just bin them anywhere without a second thought anymore.

What I can not understand is they are non refillable/ disposable but when you get a new one how many are actually new? at least 90% are old and have been refilled? how do they do that then?

mate of mine works for a national firm as an area manger i give mine to him and sometimes get a full one back

I find em great fun to chuck on a bon fire but be advised this is only for irresponsible adults with a couple of acres of land, otherwise you may endup with a couple of achers that you didnt want
