im looking for a olive splitter the type im after though is the plier type they have an end you slip over the pipe olive pull handles together bobs ya uncle :D just cant seem to find the type im after

I use a hacksaw or my grips to slide them off havent had a problem so far.
 
Hacksaw, then pop it open with a flat screwdriver bingo
 
i use the olive splitter tool 22mm and 15mm they work well and dont damage the pipework, great when changing rad valves etc unless the last bloke over tightened the olive and damaged the copper pipe :(
