Teen boiler1.JPGThis was lucky i dont think anyone was hurt. had a look at the video and i think its the same boiler as the news bit but not the same as the inside camera. i think this boiler had low level cut out faulty and man reset relay replaced with auto, i think if my memory is correct. i had a copy of the report, not sure where it is now.

Plus daily blow downs to ensure the safety train's clear. Lot more hourly involvement with steam boilers compared with fire and forget lthw and mthw boilers!


Blow down is for TDs levels mainly. Not for safety release or pressure release.

Only time it is used for this is a weekly evaporation test. When we take it down to second low water to test the second low alarm. As on first low alarm a steam boiler will re ignite itself if correct water level is resumed.
