Anyone ever plumbed a hot water tap outside?

A friend wanted a Hot n Cold Tap out side for car washing and washing dogs ect, but i was thinking why hot n cold when we have TMV

would the below picture be ok for such job? ofcourse the TMV would be fitted under the kitchen sink :)

All the time alot of my customers use it in bad winters for de frosting drives , ive just put a straight tap in,

I fitted hot and cold outside taps at our house so the boys could use their paddling pool with a nice mix, filling it quickly via the hose meant the temp was fairly low and never a problem, but obviously if washing dogs etc a blended supply would be ideal, but there are occasions when I only use the cold so not sure I would mix them inside, not a big job fitting two together with the hot blended down for safety

If the hot is same pressure as the mains (in other words, the hot coming from a combi or an unvented cylinder) then the TMV will be a good job & make the hot tap safe.
I have fitted a 1/2" outside tap for hot from gravity in a bungalow & the flow was very poor, so be careful if any great demand for water, as it fills a bucket very slowly.

this gadget was £13 from america think im going to pass on this one takes 54 years to get here, anyone suggest a cheap alternative in the uk? cheapest i seen is £49

Bumbs £*** for tmv3 but ray stafford should be your first port of call especially with his latest offer, you pay postage we pay for item? Crazy! Don't know how he's still in business . It's for any item under £100?

I've fitted quite a few hot taps outside. I've got separate hot and cold taps externally and mix them through a y piece for dog washing because I occasionally want proper hot water outside for washing stuff down. If it's mainly for dog washing I fit a TMV internally and fit a bib tap externally with a shower fitment attached to it. If the hot is low pressure I fit a pressure reducing valve on the cold. The pressure is not fantastic then but a friend finds it fine for washing her bearded collie.

Have done 2 jobs with two taps hot and cold, one for a lady with horses and another just cos he wanted it.
should just toughen up and stop being ******* and put your hand under cold water!

Make sure it is a cheap one thou, had a custard years back whom installed a very pricey grohe. Forgot to isolate and drain in a very harsh frost. The valve split the brass at the back. Changed it out for a tmv, lever on a fixed rail, handset and tee off for a hose, nice little set-up. Him and his wife liked to go surfing and living next to the beach was ideal for them. His missus was tasty as well, asked her to test drive shower for me..........she politely declined bless her.

Fitted hot outside tap a few weeks ago with mixing valve on it and set the temperature perfect for a dog to be washed. Then fitted a shower rail and hose with head next to tap so all she needs to do is turn tap on and wash the dog with ease. Works perfect!
