Hello all, new to forum.
I’m having venting issues with the toilets sucking traps out of each other as well as the sink and bath tub. I could go at it and prob make it work but I’m by the book in every other aspects of my work (swimming pool installation) so advice from the perspective you’re fixing this and it’s going to be inspected would be greatly appreciated! My head is spinning with rules and codes for drainage and venting.

(Addition bathroom sink and toilet are on different line to the main with an aav I did very quickly days after moving in with no inspection)

Tbh might be best to get the copper replaced as there’s not much left and to add a t for the toilet vent tbh best to get a licensed plumber in

Well I appreciate your reply and although i’ve been plumbing schedule 40 for about 15 years I will not take offense to you advising to call a professional plumber. I am more than capable of doing it I just want to make sure that it’s done right so maybe I’ll call them for a free estimate and just see what they say? lol but yeah the removing the copper is the one thing that I didn’t need to know.

How did I do?
Hello Inthenickoftime,

As You are in the USA I would advise posting your question on a US Plumbing Forum because although we know that the main principles of Venting Soil and Waste stacks should be similar in both of our Countries I know from reading posts on some US Plumbing Forums and Building works Forums that there are specific Plumbing & Drainage Codes in the US that differ slightly from those that we follow here in the UK.

Having written that there are even differences in some Plumbing & Drainage Regulations between what is allowed in England & Wales and what is specified in Scotland - although that is from memory of a couple of differences when I was working on a project in Scotland in 1992.

I cannot see the point in getting supposed confirmation [or otherwise] on whether the pipework is correctly installed from replies on this UK based Plumbers Forum as opposed to having it confirmed by a US based Plumbing Forum because if you were selling your Home in the future and a Home Condition Inspector [is that the correct title ?] found that something about the Venting was not to Code that would probably be a very irritating issue especially if you had to put a Bathroom or W.C. out of commission to carry out an alteration.

When you post your questions on a US Plumbing Forum I am sure that the members would need more information than is in your photos regarding exactly how and where the Vent pipes have been run above what can be seen in the photos - perhaps just some hand drawn diagrams.

Chris
