Hi, new to this website and hope to find someone who can give me some advice.
My central heating didn't come on this morning, the water pressure needed topping up. I must have been half asleep and left the filling valve open (although could have sworn I closed it!) anyway, the valve was open a while ( I emptied several buckets of water spilling from the pump before I realised my stupid mistake) and the pressure went up to 3.
When I closed the filling loop the water stopped (obvious now)
So the situation I'm in now - The water valve is off, I bled the radiators until the pressure went back down to 1, but I am a bit worried about switching the boiler back on?!! Will I have damaged anything? Is it safe to switch it on? Thanks in advance for any advice.
