hi chaps , would appreciate your words of wisdom on this one! a few years ago i was asked to do a lgsc ona baxi bbu and fire.spillage test smoke bomb test tightness test all ok. lit the boiler to check flame picture gas rate etc, i noticed floppy blue flames. further investigation when i took the burner out to check the lint filter i found a sheeet of rolled up newspaper inserted into the burner tube!!! WTF! after a chuckle to myself i read the sheet of newspaper nothing interesting! put everything back together (minus newspaper) it all checked out ok.
the only thing i think this would do is if the appliance has suffered from 'overgassing' or a noisy flame. it would slow it down?
what do you think anyone come across this before? or something weirder?
everyone i have mentioned to it since has no idea!
