bigboy

evenin all,

anybody know the difference between part p full scope and defined scope, if there is even a full scope, any clarity welcomed,

thankyou in advance

did part p defined a few years ago, it covers me for working with electric in my scope of work, which would be say, extractor fans for bathrooms, lighting, fuse spurs etc but only for the scope of my work as a gas fitter, plumber. defined scope can be trained for in a week
your full part p would be the full electrical qualification say 17th edition or whatever it is, which covers you for all aspects of domestic electical work, this qualification will take alot longer to do.

to be honest i dont do much electrical work i leave it to the lads that really know what there doing

just press the thanks button, i havent had one yet :)

there you go,fill ya boots, must admit members are a bit tight with the thanks button compared to other sister forums

I am a grade 'B' electrician which means I can do most things apart from install a ground floor ring main and a consumer unit, have to be able to carry out all the requires tests to do so though

Was thinking of up grading so could do electrical and gas tests but as alway quite busy, touch wood ,never got round to it,as said would take a while I believe
