Yep that was us he conned, it was a merc he done us for clocked 3 times apparantly. Hes gone down now but good job it was a merc cos it'd fell to bits by now.

we did some work for him for over a weeks worth. he bought the house and between getting the keys someone had ripped out all the plumbing, even under floors. we put a new heating system in, one bathroom and a wc for him. apparently the joiner hung 14 doors in the house and he shortchanged them by £250. he got us to do extra work like move the new boiler into the attic and other things and shortchanged my mate over £200.
he later tried to get me to move 3 rads, install 2 fires but declined when i quoted him £1200!!!!lol.

Seems to me getting more common. Talking to another plumber asked to supply and fit central heating system ; he was a bit sceptical and wanted payment up front . Custard refused. A few weeks later this plumber saw a different plumber in the house fitting the system. New plumber never got paid it was a traveller who had decided to settle down with a house and had no intention of ever paying.:hand:

this was in a half million pound house!.
the papers say his address is a normal £130k property elsewhere but i dont think they realise he has palmed the property to his missus?.
last i heard they are after proceeds from crime but the house is still as was!!
