Agreed mate. I did my last LGSC this morning with the tenant and her daughter sat in the garden and me in the house with gloves and face mask on. I have Cancelled everything now apart from any emergencies. Spent 25 minutes on the phone first thing talking to an old dear about the fact I couldn’t come to have a look at her dripping shower head and kitchen tap for at least 3 weeks. Due to the current lock down and it being non essential works. Think I will be having a lot of these conversations where older people just don’t understand what’s going on at the moment.

Ive cancelled everything and not done anything since Tuesday. But went to an emergency this morning. Melted fan harness on an Icos I will fix it rather than replace the boiler at this current time

Sign up to the Volunteer scheme, they know where the help is needed,

Talk about taking it seriously; we were supposed to be arriving in Disneyland today for my six year old daughter's holiday of a lifetime but for obvious reasons we're at home. Last week my dad who's 75 at the end of this month developed pneumonia and spent a week in hospital on the same ward allocated to Covid-19 sufferers. Luckily he was in an enclosed room in the 'clean' section of the ward. He's home now but in pain and appears to have aged quickly.

Sorry to ramble on but...

A few days ago my mother called in tears to say she has lung cancer and has between 3 months and 12 months left to live as radiotherapy treatment would be too dangerous to her immune system in this current climate (pandemic).

A few hours ago I was informed my mate's dad who's a good friend too and one of the lads died from the virus this afternoon.

Too right 'take it serious'!

Cheers mate, with it being so close to home it just makes it real all of a sudden. These things always affect other people unknown to us, be it in the paper or on the news. Take it seriously all and let's get through this!

Sorry to hear that.

I think the majority are or have realised just how serious it is. One bloke in the town died last week of it, a woman 7 mile away yesterday and the heart breaking stories coming out of the hospitals.

Walked the dog this evening for my hours exercise. Walked through our town, eerily quiet, saw about 20 people in that hour. All doing the same as me, walking the dog and trying to make sense of things I would think. Seemed weird somebody walking towards you and then crossing the road to avoid you and saying 'evening' before heading safely in different directions.

Finishing my walk and heading home to find a little painted pebble on our garden wall. A little butterfly and 'stay safe' on it.

My daughter took my granddaughter for a walk earlier, staying safe and social distancing, and they did the bear hunt. People sticking bears in windows for the kids to count as they grab a little exercise and fresh air.

But there are those muppets that either think they're invincible, thick as she!te or couldn't give a toss still parading about in places they shouldn't, ignoring the social distancing requirements. Quite frankly I think they should just be shot.

My wife is struggling with it mentally, the money side of things, being at home, not being able to see her 92 year old mother in the nursing home, but that's just the person she is. I dont have that problem, very black or white logical thinking. I dont worry about things I have no influence over. But I do sometimes catch myself wondering if its just all a bad dream. Afraid not.

I think, and hope, that within the next ten to fourteen days the worst may be over, but this statement might not age very well.

Bit of a rant, I know.

Stay safe everybody.

So sorry to hear your terrible news life really can be so cruel sometimes, I have had to watch my own farther battle cancer for more than 10 years and he was so brave right till the end , we are going through terrible times right now and it will be a long time before we see any normality come back into our lives . Keep well stay safe you will need to be strong to guide you family through this heartbreaking time . Regards kop

My missus is the same mate she's been off work 3 weeks better to be safe than sorry bud .

Definitely, supposed to get the letter in the next day or two. Had thought I'd got two weeks in the bag 😀 👍, but the twelve weeks is supposed to start on receipt of the letter ☹ 👎.

Well the seriousness hit home tonight. Text off of NHS. I'm supposedly at high risk of serious illness if I catch it so have to isolate for 12 weeks. Letter to follow.

Glad I hadnt started my to do list yet.

Stay safe everybody 👍

Sorry to here that pal , I wont give it thumbs up , if you know what I mean .
