Photo ID Gas Safe Register

I have held a CORGI card for as long as CORGI has been in existance. Supplied by them, a CORGI ID photo card for as long. Gas Safe Register gave me their card on the last day of March which I have kept in my wallet in place of the CORGI card. I took it out the other day just to clean up the wallet and found that the photo of me had scratched away and no longer recognisable, in other words the photo had rubbed off the card. The print on the GSR card is not as good as the CORGI reproduction. Has any one else noticed this? Now I got to send it back to them, whoever and how long it will take! I'll let you know the outcome! funny you should mention the cards i was thinking that i dont remember sending gas safe a photo to go on my card so i assume corgi have passed my details to gas safe
this data protection act seems to be a very one sided affair want to query my daughter or wifes phone bill and they cant talk to me as im not the registered person but dvla sell your details to highly dubious clampers
best one yet was family tax credits , weve been over paid now when they were sending us paperwork everything came in two seperate envelopes to me and my wife payments were made in two seperate names half each but when i came to paying back the over payed amount they would only accept one standing order a complete blooming shambles
anyone got a quick rundown on data protection and how it should work?

hello,i think gas safe get the photo from acs database via your national insurance number , when i did my ACS i gave the center a photo, which they sent off to bpec, when i called gas safe i ask do i need to send photo , they said they had it so guess thats how they get photo.

most of our clients, still asking for corgi! i tell them i am still corgi registered ( thru the firm ) but the requirement is gas safe and they still just look at me blank faced.

CORGI got your photo from ACS, as probably did GAs Safe. Did you know that anyone can see your photo now when they look up your details on the website - nver gave my permision for that! As a plumber allegedly earning 100k per year I feel quite vulnerable to being targeted by criminals . . . and quangos

last company i worked for they took a picture for my corgi card, 12 months later when i sent off for a new driving licence my corgi card picture was on it the goverment must have a file on every one i cant explain how the dvla got hold of it

Can I suggest that when you get your card back, you get it plastic laminated that should solve the problem

Hi, have just done my ccn1 etc. I think i've passed, but assessor never actually said nor did I ask! Does anyone have any idea how long it takes for my Gas Safe card to come through? I have called the test center but couldn't give me an answer.

the assessment centre has 21 or 28 days to process the paperwork, it then goes to the certification body who have the same time to process their side of things, they then send an electronic download to GSR, saying you are deemed competant which means you get added to GSR list, they also send you your certificate on the same day as the download, so technically you are on GSR register a day or two before you get your cert, if you are desperate to know you can keep phoning GSR to check if they have your details.
