I have had 3 pinhole leaks in the cold water feed to the boiler since the system was installed 30 years ago. All were in horizontal runs -on the internet i found this seems a common location for such leaks - horizontal pipes with little flow. No other leaks or signs of internal corrosion.

The system never had any chemicals in it - has anyone experience of how effective or not inhibitors are over a long time scale?
