pipe drop

hello all im installing a shower tray ive got 2 metres of 40mm pipe to take it to the outside soil pipe but ive only got roughly a 30mm drop i know it is suppose to be 18mm to 90mm per metre but ant of you guys think ill get away with this cheers

is it not possible to increase the drop by connecting into the svp at a lower point? taking in under the floor? or lifting the tray ?

the problem you will have with such a small fall will be keeping a continuous fall along the full length of the pipe.

presuming the numbers you quote are correct - you're 6mm out from the minimum. so won't make naff all difference.

1 in 40 drop, hardly anything in it though, think he's out by about 20mm, nothing to worry about

2m run=36 mm

only 6mm out!
