Pipe into shower trap

I will be using solvent weld pipe with my trap, but is there any difference between using solvent pipe and pushfit pipe when it goes into the trap?

i am assuming not

Push fit is slightly larger. OK for the compression side but not the solvent as it will not fuse together.
