Pipe safe insulation

I know certain building matierials mustn't come into contact with copper pipes. Is expanding foam ok to touch pipes? I've a gap between two floors where pipes run within the chimney cavity up to the airing cupboard that I'd like to fill.

i would check with the expanding foam manufacturer or lag the pipework with foam lagging first.

That's a good idea, hadn't thought of that. I've got enough lagging left over to do that actually. Thanks.
