I was just about to go and buy a 15mm and 22mm pipeslice from scewfix.

Then I had a thought. Will a metric slice work on imperial pipe?

Any advice. If not I might as well save my money as it is just for existing fixed metric pipes that I need it. I will use an ordinary pipe cutter for new sections.

15mm will fit 1/2", but a 22mm slice will only go through 3/4" while the blade is new (slightly longer) as 3/4" is smaller

as per kirkgas, but if you buy a slice stick with monument or rothenburger,i have all bachos difficult to turn sometimes screwfix do forge steel slices that are identical to bacho so same problems

Kopex are best pipeslice but if getting 28mm make sure metal one as come in plastic to

Buy a 22mm slice, a 15mm, a cheap mini pipe slice (£5) and a decent adjustable larger slice (£30). Then it's all covered.

22mm won't cut imperial, but will heavily indent it. You won't cut much imperial, and when you do, you're likely to quickly fit an adapter to metric and work away in that anyway.

.Thanks to All I managed to bend pipes out and cut with my usual cutter for now. Just to get them out of work area.

I have ordered a 21mm and 15mm Kopex Pipeslice for when I do the job properly.

All my plumbing is DIY. In my house the pipes are imperial. I only need a slice where pipes are close to the wall. New piping I can cut with my usual pipe cutter,

well, got kopex and monument ones.
i also bought 22mm and 15mm nonames from ebay 2 years ago, i use these ones every day and even for most 3/4'' pipe with origional cutters although some wont cut to depth. i bought the both for £8.............b-it-n.

What is wrong with a junior hacksaw at less than a pound for one cut.
The guy is not a professional so what is the point of spending £25 for a 15 and 22 to cut a pipe now and then.
Btw Kopex or Monu or Rothy are good. Cheapies from fleabay 15mm ok 22 garbage.
22mm Kopex will cut 3/4 no prob. The spring gives 3mm of play.
Was in merchants Thursday in managers office. 2 x 15 and 2 x 22 pipeslice sitting all new on top of filing cabinet. Asked what doing there. He said back to manu's as were faulty! What can go wrong with a pipe slice. Gave him a fiver for them all and had them all working perfect in 20 mins - well the boy did as i was busy 😱

The Monument small adjustable pipeslice will cut 3/4" and still fit in small spaces.

If they stop working, take them to bits. clean and give a squirt of WD40.

I have about 4 or five 'knackered' slices lurking in my van. Waiting for me to change the wheel and give a squirt of WD40!!
