Hello all, I am new to this forum but wondered if anyone could assist with a bit of advice on the plumbing to my Vokera Mynute 20e Boiler The feed and return pipe underneath the Boiler 22mm pipework Is connected together with a short length of 15mm pipe which has a isolation valve fitted into it. The isolation valve is permanently open , so I was wondering what the purpose of this pipe connection would be, and would it have an effect on the Boiler not seeming to get up to maximum temperature.

It's a manual bypass. Close it then open it slightly so you can just hear water going through it.

Thanks for the reply. I have been having a look again tonight ,and I think I have cracked the problem. I think I may of had a airlock in the boiler, so I un did feed pipe out of boiler to let a bit of water out and also at the motorised valve , and a the same time switch off the isolation valve , and as pipe to motor/valve was dripping pipework started to get hotter, so opened isolation valve fully as it was and let system run all rads getting hot and when holding hand on them have to remove it as it gets to hot. Just 1 rad not quite up to temp , so may take of wall at weekend and flush out. Test will be in the morning if house is warm when I get up, here's hoping.
