Plastic pipe chasing

Hi,

I have a bungalow with a solid floor.
I want to add a radiator under one of the windows, ideally bury the pipes in the wall so they arnt seen.

Ill have to do a chase down the side of the window and then another horizontal to the centre of the rad where a radiator outlet plate will be..

Is this the best way?

Is there any other ways?

I don't know of any plastic pipe manufacturer that is ok with plastering pipes in . Indeed plaster or dot & dab adhesive is not allowed to touch pipes or fitting.
We use electrical flexible conduit for this job not too difficult to get two 10mm pipes through then plaster over.

Chase the wall out with either a chaser or grinder both would highly recommend you get a dust extraction for you can hire either cheaply

then run your 10mm pipes down in some 22mm insulation both will fit in and use some strap or fabric banding to hold

I dont want a join in the wall so could i bend plastic pipe 90° to go under the window?

the pipes will enter the side of a metal box.. Do you think this is okay? Quite a right bend to the radiator valves

Yes would allow 3” radius bend

that’s fine would put the box just lower than centre height wise on the rad or you could use an elbow and street elbow to get you out of the wall then you could lower your metal box down to 4” above the bottom of the rad

When we used metal back boxes behind rads on new build (don't now) we terminated then with elbows in box then used m&f elbows into them to keep pipework tidy and not strained.
Don't forget grommets if your using a standard back box.

I always cover pipes (or conduit) with foil tape so you can find them should you ever fancy fitting tiebacks, curtain poles or a picture frame

On new build the tape has to go on wall then pipes clipped to it (to make sure glue on tape cannot affect pipework)
