I hope he plumbs.. better than he drives.

Actually - looking at the picture I believe the Ferrari is the main car for most Plumbers. *Minted* - All of em!

tony bryden from train 4 trade skill

hi i had 2.5 hours interview today from a college adviser a so called person who seemed very nice but at the end i realized he was a salesman turning up in a black audi wanting to discuss the plumbing course where he talked about the shortages being out their however i have a relative in the plumbing trade who says because the down turn plumbers are not needed as much as the gov, say. any way tony discussed my situation such as my debts too wanted to know about my work history the things i had done i live in batley but i found it a very intense interview at the end then he discussed the costs by the end i felt if i had the money would have signed up.... if its a scam i must say its a very good one. any way the costs involved was £3950 or 22.50 per week i think they offer you fianance for the coursethe domestic course part lasts for 1 year which involves 6 weeks practical the rest is theory and virtual relialty training on the computer... their after another year for nvq level 3 and gas training. the full training including the proffesional part costs £5700 and or £35 a week.

he was still insistant their is work out their and claimed after doing the first year... could work doing basic plumbing to pay for the course it is still a loan you have to pay it is quicker than college he claimed full training takes in all about 2-3 years he claimed.

but given what plumbers are saying as well as my relative it appears work is short so maybe becoming a plumber is not a good idea but he was insisting that you need qualifications in a set trade to make a good living and was banging on about this he was saying the evening welding course i was doing wont get me any where as its only a certificate it seems i wont be able to get a job at all based on what he saying very depressing he kept going on about how does it feel to be unemployed how depressed does it make you.. what do you people think? thanks for reading...

Hey ma man, The demand for plumbers is dependant on where you live.. (Location, Location, Location).. This can also depend on how successfull a business can be.. I have been asking Corgi For the past 2 yrs to publish a map indentifying the locations of registered installers.. This would help the industry by filling the true lack of plumbers in certain area's..... Central Scotland is overloaded with Plumbers at the moment according to a corgi Inspector I spoke to.... It sthat bad alot of the businesses have got the same bloody names as each other in Glasgow..

All the best

bloody hell why cant i meet some one like you i got about £100 spent on me and i shelled out near on £800 thats not fair.

Simple, Just go to your local plumbers merchants and ask them exactly what your asking us. They will flog you some rothenberger stuff probably. Pipe cutters and some rothenberger adjustable spanners would be nice, but they are not cheap. About 20-25 a set if your not a yocal. Dont get ripped off though. Get a turbo torch, or a rothenberger torch (Superfire 2). You can guess that anything rothenberger is pretty good. Hope this helps sweet heart.

Benders, spanners, blow torch, head lamp, screw drivers, pliers, mole grips, water pump pliers, immersion spanner, cordless drill, drill bits, pipe slice 22mm & 15mm. Hack saw. Or if gas qualified, manometor, earth continuity clamps, combustible gas sniffer, flue analyser, the list goes on and on!!

Whatever you buy him, you're being very thoughtful. My Mrs couldn't give a hoot!

thank you :)

sad thing is he has now quit plumbing as in the last stages of joining the raf as a flight operations assistant lol it such a shame because he was so good at what he did but he decided enough was enough and he is now in the very last stage of getting in thr raf so now im supporting him every step of the way with that.

give your son the money, will he not be the best placed to think about and purchase the tools that HE will require?
this will leave you more time to organise him a surprise birthday bash!!!:)
