Hi everyone.....I wondered if someone could tell me BY LAW what i need in the way of qualifications to advertise as a plumber and work for myself....i've heard i need a NVQ lev 2 minimum. I've just enrolled on a level 2 tech cert at my local college but i'm unsure what this allows me to do. Any help on this matter will be much appreciated.

Regards

Hi
I think there's nothing to stop anyone calling themselves a plumber!!!
On paper I've heard the minimum is C&G 6129 level 2 and then practically NVQ 2.
But the real world experience and learning is probably more important. But it won't hurt you to have the basic knowledge as a start.
Good Luck

cheers for that mate. thats a big help.....atleaset i know i'm on the right track then
