Any considerations for the following issue please reply.
Plumber started today, he is installing an upgrade to a 20yr old system,
new dual coil cyl, three zones, one for broom rads, one for hot water and one for rads in kitchen area.
there is an aga feed for hot water into the cyl,
the idea was simply to maintain the aga feed for hot water as it was, and do the rest of the work above.....
Problem is, on the flow and return for the Aga feed to the cylinder the pipe seems to continue on down under the floor! now, to make things worse, as at this stage the plumber thought it maybe feeds a rad for excess hot water.... or maybe at the outset it feeds a hot tap.... who knows...
He has cut the pipe, and there is a positive feed.... like a small amount of continuous feed coming from this pipe! indication is that it is fed by domestic feed! you may ask..... all three of us ask the same question!
Please anyone who may have seen this type before please do tell.... what or where could it be coming from?
I have indicated to the plumber the previous house owner was a "special" type of guy.... it could be anything.... we are looking like capping it off and going back one step to a more practical design as above! seeing if then something doesnt work! or heat or maybe when he pressurises the vent goes nuts.....
just for any of you more experienced specialist types.... can you think of anything?
many thanks
Peter
