hello ive got my nvq level 2 in plumbing and currently doin my tech cert in plumbing level 3. im wondering is it worth doin the nvq level 3 in plumbing or going straight on to do my acs

basically if you don't do the NVQ 3 then the tech cert is worthless in matters of getting jobs, i.e.

If you don't do the tech cert level 3 then how do you know how to do gas/ boiler, i.e.

basically best option, do the time, learn everything you can and be a better plumber, don't try to skip anything. the more the merrier.

I got told you had to do both, no way of doing seperate?

I would of said you can just do the tech cert if you want

I can't see how the nvq3 will help.

The tech cert will tech you everything you need to know
The nvq doesn't back it up atall. Just makes you more employable as the employer will know that you know how to run a job

But the overall best option is to be time served

Met many plumbers with tech cert 3 and nvq3 and know nothing when it comes to an older system or anything they haven't seen in college
