Plumbing apprenticeship/getting experience

Hi I am 18 years old. I have done level 1 currently doing level 2 plumbing at college.(work part time as a window cleaner) I have written to every plumber locally and put up an ad in the local plumbers merchants looking for an apprenticeship without any luck. I live near Kings Lynn in Norfolk. I have my own car and would happily travel. Any advice would be really helpful . Thanks

It took me ages to get to work with an experienced plumber when I first started.

After taking out my own liability insurance and around 60 letters offering to work for free I finally had someone give me a chance for a day to see how we got on. I worked with him for 8 months which gave me the confidence I needed to start up by myself.

If you are really struggling and just need the confidence why don't you try doing the odd small job for neighbours and friends, it's amazing how quickly you realise that you can actually do the job.
