Im in the middle of considering a few plumbing and gas courses that are available at some cosiderable cost initially, i would like your views.

The one that looks good but seems expensive is a company called OLCI , they seem to do everything, the brochure they sent shows nice clean, airey spaces in which to train, has anybody with any experience from this company share their views.

Im just looking for some encouragement before i potentially commit myself to a £8000.00 outlay.

I am based in London , so would be using their facilities in the capital.

what experience of plumbing do you have already? its a lot to part with possibly to find out that you hate it and are no good.
you could try a short term course maybe a week long at a more affordable price to get a feel for things. some have good success with the type of course you describe, most advise against them. but as said already look at some previous posts on these subjects

"Go and enroll at college first, go and do basic training , which will not cost you too much, depending on where you live.
Before you sign and spend any money on training courses costing thousands, go and visit the place, talk to others there and if then it feels right then by all means go ahead.
I would see if i could do some voluntary work with a plumber to see if its for you.
It might just save you lots of money or it might give you greater encouragement.
It wont be easy mixing a job doing shifts and retraining.
Im speaking from experience
Good luck"

this is some good advice I found in a post from the other day ! sound familiar?

I would be interested to hear more of your good experiences.
Im finding it difficult to choose,

One company keeps popping up , OLCI, not many good reviews, unless you know different.

i ended up training at a training center rather than a college to cut a long story short it worked out better for me at the time because i wanted to start training asap. i chose olci, ticked all the right boxes center was goodand the tutor i had was more than happy to help out of the practical time as well and for me that was probably the difference between a pass and a fail.
