im looking for a decent 1 week plumbing course after thinking long and hard i would like to add basic plumbing and bathroom installs to my tiling business i feel im losing some work due to not being able to provide the full package bit short on funds at the moment so 1 week course will have to do.

thanks Lee LM Ceramics

actually there is a course at chase plumbing academy will teach water regs and building regs thats a 5 day course but its in staffordshire i know a few plumbers who say bathroom installs arent as difficult as you think and i know a few people who have attended short courses and have done a few installs succesfully

bathroom fitting is easy? what type of bathroom? refurb or new, there are so many types how do you know they are easy?

if you have come for advice lee, you have come to the wrong forum mate.
you wont get any here.

more chance of a non rude answer on the tile forum.
see you there

i didnt mean it was easy for myself i typed it wrong im only looking to do like for like swaps i just think fitting bathrooms and having some plumbing knowledge is handy for my tiling business i know it takes along time and experience same goes for any trade but i wouldnt mind a stepping stone into plumbing i feel as if im loosing out on tiling jobs in bathroom because i cant provide the full package.
thanks Lee

hello guys i hope some one can give me real advise and not be nasty about it. as some plumbers refuse to help and in fact ive seen posts where some one has asked for advise but got nothing but abuse i supose some plumbers regard people getting into plumbing as competition.

any way here goes im looking for a career been working in call centers for the past 3 years previous to that i did college studing film and graphic design which went no where previous to that i was doing mig welding and fabrication and manufacturing. any way im looking to train up but looking at the nvq structure it could take 5 years if i did it part time. their is a course being run by dewsbury town hall paid by the job center im going for an interview on the 18th. but its only run for 37 weeks. running for just 2 days a week i need advise how can i get to be a plumber i have applied on some apretance courses with kirklees council and leeds homes but not hered any thing for months.

please could you advise me im 30 unemployed and wondering if the course is any good even if i get on it as i supose many people will be going their and i think their will be a test to do. im a little dyslexic so i hope the test is not too hard.

i would like to here from real plumbers in the trade and students. if you can post a reply i be very gradeful if you do can you state if your a student or a fully qualifyed plumber and thanks for your advise.

you ask advice then you get told the truth and don't like the answer.

success in bathroom fitting don't come from putting water in one end of a pipe and watch it come out the tap the other end.
9/10 installs i see work but are not up to bc, water regs standard.

ye i appreciate what your saying and i understand you not so keen on courses im a time served tiler. i do understand that i will need to learn water regs etc.

some members on here arent keen on your attitude due to the way you reply to peoples comments im not having a pop i have just heard thats all
