Got a friend of my dads who wants me to fit out a mobile home fopr him. Its a fairly big arrangment, about 18 feet long.

He plans to have a small kitchen sink, a shower, basin and toilet.

My question is in terms of water supply. He has a huge water tank he intends to use to store the water. But im looking for ideas in terms of hot water. I was originally think small direct cylinder but not so sure now. Poss multipoint heater of some sort but can you get one to work from the tank pressure. Need for any pumps?

The other issue I think I will have is that he can not garuntee a mains supplly to unit so he would be looking at filling the tank and once that has run out that is it.

Im open to any advice and ideas here. I am a qualified and experienced plumber but not had to tackle something like this before.

what happens when the feed water has dried up without knowing and there is a call for hot water from the boiler?.

This is where you lot step in to advise.

Im looking at the job tomorrow but would like to have a few ideas in my head before I approach. if I used a direct cylinder even if the water dried up in tank the cylinder would still be full to the point of draw off so I guess it wouldnt be dangerous if immersion heater was running

cant you just not have the tank and just use mains ? there the only ones i have seen !

That would be best solution, but trouble is the van might not be near a source of mains water.

Hmmmm...

OK, Ive been to look at the job...

best bet for the demand of water he is going to want is going to be an LPG water heater. I will have to get my colleague to install this as I dont have my LPG or lesiure ticket.

The client has agreed that we can install a CWS on the roof of the camper. The water heaters I have looked at require a min of 1 bar to operate. Am I able to incoporate a single impeller pump into the installtion to provide the water heater the water it requires?

bump??

bump????
