What are the top five plumbing related problems encountered during work?

1. Water

2. Ankle biting terriers (he won't hurt/only being friendly)

3. Laundry (in airing cupboards)

4. No nearby parking (in towns)

5. Cold calls/spam emails

What is it about people and there blasted dogs?

I like dogs, my family has always had them but two things really get on my T**s about them.

Why do people let there dogs jump up you constantly and not lock them in another room or in the garden, they don't care about the dogs constantly sticking there noses everywhere you are.

Then they treat them like babies and go on; "oh, he's alright really" "he'll calm down eventually"

Sorry, went off on one there, other than that nothing further to add to the lists supplied, other than:

Having every joint/waste/pipe/connection except the one you need..

1, Filthy bathrooms. (why dont they clean it if they know i'm coming)

2, Changing immersion heaters on very old cylinders

3, Passing gate valves

4, Know it all customers

5, Losing tools (i'll miss my screwdriver, had it for years)

biggest problem ive found recently is the internet everyone can get it cheaper or quicker or theyve been reading how it should be done
recently looked at a leak in an airing cupboard gate valve covered in crud but as he had a new larger cylinder fitted two years ago its now i8 inches down behind the cylinder wedged in the corner and therers a a shower pump in front of the cylinder thats got to come out as well wheni tell him it gonna cost 300 to remove the cylinder and replace the gate valve he starts telling me the bloke who fitted the cylinder said it should only cost £60 at the most
so i said ok mate let him do it
i cant he said he given up the plumbing and his now a mini cab driver

Going to change old taps thinking it will be a quick and easy job then find that the original plumber bedded them using putty.
It's a case of who breaks first you or the basin

i had that with the taps last month. i ended up unscrewing one of the basin taps from the sink because the fitter had used putty and the back nut was stuck fast. when the tap was almost off i tapped (no pun) the top of the tap and the back nut came away with a tube of hardened putty attached.
