hi im looking for a test sheet template to pass on to a company that i have instaled elec mulitpoint water heaters with tmvs on a site for. they asked me for a calorification cert. any seen one before? iv done legionella testing before but cant think how to lay out my own test sheet. i think il need inlet pressure, flow rate, cold water temp, hot water temp, water heater details, site details, engineer details. any other headings??
thanks

Calorification cert for an electric multi point water heater....blimey. What's the world coming too? I've looked though all my documents and can't find anything.

Seems a bit of a strange request.

Just put provisions for details from the data plate (I'm sure you have it covered in yourpost)...and put something like 'annual inspection within 12 months' then have your contact details on it!

hi danny thanks for getting in touch, the water heaters are in a school so thats the only reason i can think they would want it, but i think just put as much data as i can on sheet and that wil have to do them.

I'm wondering what they want this for? Someone to sue if a child scorches itself or catches a disease? Sounds a little fishy to me.

How about some sort of disclaimer for yourself and possibly signed by the school as well?

Something a little like the MoT disclaimer where it doesn't guarantee mechanical safety of the vehicle and valid only at the time of testing (or whatever the language is that they use to cover themselves).

It's a shame that so much trust has vanished from life these days.

Do you mean CHLORIFICATION. I would have thought on a school that the system should have been disinfected on completion .

Yea a CHLORIFICATION cert, sorry about my spelling. its on a school site, its temp classrooms whilst a new school is being built. the local water board connected onto mains so would they be able to issue it. this the 1st time i have worked on a school project myself so im a little clueless on this.

thanks dontknow that sounds like a good idea to cover myself. its an irish firm who want this cert so maybe its standard for them!!??!!
thanks for help any info is appreciated

Standard procedure for non domestic as per water regs. You are probably gonna have to have system sterilised. I would speak to project manager .

would that require a qualification to sterilise a system? im sounding rather clueless here, i am qualified honest, hehe!!

I think it does Im afraid 🙁 Another course another £
This is where you can get caught out , did you sign a contract with the main contractor ?
