Hi,
I am currently a Nvq level 2 plumbing student looking for work as a trainee/mate. I already have my 6129 & a valid cscs card. I have a lot of experience as a trainee plumber working on various projects & can do most plumbing tasks ie worked on tenented & void properties on The Deccent Home Scheme Project with Wolverhampton homes, stripping out bathrooms & kitchens, refitting them, putting all appliances together ie cisterns, baths & basins. I have also worked on high rise flats bringing out old baths, sinks & boilers out onto scaffolds. At the moment i do voluntary work for Sandwell Council Voluntary Org as a trainee plumber to help get some of my nvq assessment covered but i'm but struggling financially. I would be happy to work for min wage just to have something coming in. So if anyone in the Wolverhampton area is looking for an experience hardworking plumbers mate please respond to this thread & i will supply my contact details & references. I am 46 yrs old & took up plumbing as a career change & really enjoying it. I can also do basic tililg & plastering. I just want to complete my Nvq so that i can become qualified & achieve a dream. Thanks. :icon6:

Hello Robert, best of luck with your change of career, but unless the Gov does somthing about kickstarting the building industry you will have retired by the time you achieve your dream !!
