just a warning lads,
i had these jokers on the phone to me this morning.🙄

as soon as he said 'this is officer 'blah' from the police, fire, ambulance association, i quickly interupted him and said 'no thanks, i did not get one phone call from that addvert i took out last year'.😡

then put the phone down.

this has just prooved to me its a scam.imho.

beware lads keep you dosh.😉

Hi Red is it the same ones that are based in liverpool? if so be extremly carefull!! I had to deal with them for a freind a couple of years ago and they are definatley scam artists.

If it is the same advertising outfit and you have any problems talk to trading standards they are aware of this company and have a large file on them.
 
When ever I get a sales call like this, I ask them to email the details and I will consider it!!

I never do receive any emails from them however!!
 
I also ask for an email (which I tend not to receive).

Another thing I do is tell them I monitor my advertising closely. So, I'll advertise but won't pay them until I receive a customer from their magazine (or whatever it is). By this stage I've normally been told how to enjoy myself ...
 
they took me once a couple of years ago for £120, dont let it happen to you.
 
Never buy anything from a cold call. As Gasman said ask them to send the details and you will consider. There is always someone out to rip you off.
 
i always tell them i am not doing anymore advertising,they just hang up then.
 
I had one of these couple of months ago. I asked how many people would think of going to police, fire service etc. to find a number for a plumber. The reply was that the ad was going onto a map given out from police station. Naturally my next question was ' How many people go to a police station to get a map?
Pretty small target market wouldn't you agree?
Never got an answer and phone went down pretty quickly.
 
my response to most cold calling advertisers is "hold on ill get the switch board to put you through to the correct department" and leave them holding on
they want to waste my time ill waste theirs

lol....gonna try that one,i'm sick to my eye balls with people phoning me up about advertising. ive also had the call from those idiots from the police etc....
