customer call boiler safety check ,all good till i had my analyser out and did take CO reading in the room ......7ppm in the room ...took fuse out and disconnect gas valve plus ignition ! turned gas off and warning notice ! back tomorrow to fit new one ! I have never had any reading in room sealed boiler reading CO ,i stopped at 7ppm and vented the room !
did I over reacted ????

fit new what?please elaborate any other appliances/things in the room that could contribute?

agree with gas man did you check for any other contributing factors?

Where is the flue terminal? If its too close to the window and the window is open then you could be getting readings from this. If a flue is too close to a window/vent then you need to do a a CO room check. I have done this several times and never had POC entering premisies. You have to do a CO check for 15 minutes and not get over 10ppm if over then ID if under then you can NTCS.
