Boiler: Potterton Performa 24 eco HE.
The customer was having problems with the hot water, is was irregular but never HOT, so I replaced the plate heat exchanger (4 days ago). Hot water was working properly.
Now for the strange part. Got a call yesterday morning, customer saying no hot water, went round and no hot water in kitchen tap (boiler was not firing), check bath tap and boiler fired up and produced hot water. I checked kitchen tap and hot water came out. While I was there boiler went on every time I used hot water BUT was not consistent in the temp, sometimes hot sometimes warm.
This morning same thing boiler wasn't firing when kitchen tap or basin tap was on. As soon as I opened bath tap boiler fired and then the other taps was ok. But same problem with the temperature of water, warm or hot.
Not too sure why boiler doesn’t fire up first thing in the morning unless the bath tap is opened, and why the hot water comes out irregular.
