Going to look at one of these on Wednesday, cust the boiler won't come on unless they put the power off at the spur for a while and then power it back up again. Sounding like a board issue to me... Common fault with these?

I think it's the same set up as a profile boiler... The part number for the board is 407677 or something like that...

Sometimes you can tap the tray under the board & it will spring into life, very common to have dry joint on the board, or burnt out bits on there...

I went to one today.

Boiler would not work at all on ch, but would fire up on hw but cut out after a few minutes but could be water was up to temperature.

The 3 port was screeching like mad if I pushed it over to manual, if I let it return it was very slow and noisy. Told Cust that it could do with changing.

Couldn't work on the boiler as customer had no service history so didn't get to investigate. Could have been the roomsat.

Rule out zone valve issue first then would be looking at board.

Funny how you listen to a customer and get an idea in your head, went with a pcb. Start looking at the boiler and she tells me the HW still works. 3 port valve repair in the end
