Hi going to hire a power flusher next wk to try before purchasing one . the job i plan to do is flush a glow worm cxi as its sludged up . i have no problem flushing the rads and the main heat exchanger but how do i go about flushing the plate to plate in situation . i can manualy force the diverter by hand but this wont give me a flow circuit as the flush would be entering the boiler via rtn pipe and then trying to circulate to the flow pipe from boiler but with diverter in hw there will be no flow out of boiler .

thanks ant

you can get adapter to flush it out of place although ive always just used a drop of cleanser and shook the bits out flushing under a tap

I just took my Secoudry heat exchanger off doused it in that Haagan stuff and now works perfectly.

Kamco do do a course that covers doing the plate but it does seem alot of hassle with no garentee.

what is that haagan stuff?

DS3 is a piece of piddle to use, can even descale irons/kettles.

Proper stuff is DS40 boil a kettle, stick a scoop in a bucket with the boiling water and drop heat exchanger in, DS40 changes from Red to Green when the clean is done and jobs a good un.
