Have been asked to look at powerflush ing a boiler and system.
The boiler is 10 years old and thinking what's the point !!
If it was a car you'd probably bin it and manufacturers tend to walk away from boilers of that age.

Would you take this job on ?

If the boiler has a c.h filter and is serviced once a year, looked after and no pushfits are in use I would do a powerflush. I still would look at the pipeworks and joints, checking the rads what type they are and how old they are. But I think it’s very individual

Totally agree with Chris on this. I always disconnect the boiler first and flush the rads and pipework separately, then I flush out the boiler before connecting it back up.

Is it worth doing, defo mate. put it this way you would still have to do it if you changed the boiler anyways wouldn't you.
