Hi Everyone

Some advice needed,When using a fernox Powerflusher on a heating system with a primatic cylinder you first have to drain down to remove the cylinder then blank off the circs. With the cylinder removed you have just removed your filling source my question is it possible to refill and bleed the entire system through the flush unit before starting the pump or do you have to tap in to the pipework and refill from another source before firing the unit up, anybody with experience of this out there? Thanks in anticipation!!.I downloaded the fernox manual but no mention of this in there.

Thanks Smeagal

You can fill any system using a fernox power flush unit. I do all the time.

Hi Again

Thanks for the replies, so you can fill from the flush unit do you have to run the pump or will it fill with just the flow and return valves open on the power flush unit,ie does it become just an extension of the heating system?I have never used one but I can`t get it out of my head that if the unit is piped in across the pump unions trying in to fill it from the powerflush unit via the cold fill would cause it to overflow does that make sense?

Thanks Smeagal
