Hi All
I've been asked to replace 4 radiators for a friend(corroded)and powerflush the system.I can borrow the powerflusher off my cousin(heating installer).I was after any help/info on use(I'm getting a run down on it from him,but any other help will be greatly appreciated.I asked the friend if anyone else had the same problem and he said yes the other places were the same(I think there's about another 3 places). He said they're only 4 years old!! The system has about 4 rads/2 towel rails and underfloor heating groundfloor. It has an unvented cylinder and a sealed primary circuit S plan with a Sirrus boiler.I told him I thought the problem was that it hadn't had cleanser/inhibitor added after construction.I said I thought they could try as a group going back to the builder(still trading)and get some form of rectification. He doesn't seem to want to do this.
I know you need to remove the pump, but any tips etc would be great.
Many Thanks

thats a classic in the shot titled opening rad valves he is actually closing it, and the pump comes out witout a drop of water in it clean and new, at that point i stopped watching
You should have continued to the end, it's hilarious. A real demonstration how not to do it!

Did you know that you balance a radiator by pointing an IR thermometer at the top of the rad and moving it left and right? He had the IR thermometer set to Fahrenheit and it was measuring about 75°F, which is 24°C. I didn't know balancing was done at that temperature!

No mention of flushing each rad in turn by shutting all the others off.
