Hi all
We had a new boiler installed about 7 years ago, a bog standard (not a combi) Glow-worm. It was originally an antiquated back boiler downstairs in the chimney breast but we had the new one moved to the loft where it seemed more convenient. Problems are always occurring with the pressure of the system and we have to 're-pressurize the system fairly regularly (about once every six months) but multiple engineers have told us that this is not unusual. The main problem is that even though we repressurize the system really slowly it still seems to have an adverse affect on the boiler. In the 7 years we have had the boiler we have had the pump replaced twice, the expansion vessel replaced twice and other similar problems, in fact we haven't had 12 months without needing to have a boiler repair carried out. Can anyone tell me whether this sounds like a pressure problem or a boiler problem and does anyone have any ideas as to how these issues can be resolved. I'm willing to spend out on a new boiler but if it is a pressure system problem then surely I'll be back at square one but a couple of thousand pounds out of pocket. If anyone has some advice I'd be really grateful.
Cheers all.
