Hi
I have a problem with a central heating boiler. Every few days the pressure drops and has to be topped up. There are no obvious leaks in the heating circuit but most of the pipes are not visible.

There was another problem in that when heating was on the pressure increased but this has been rectified by replacing the expansion tank.

Thanks for any help in advance from a new member.

Check outside to see if if your expansion pipe is still leaking?
You really need it looked at mate as taking that volume of fresh water in on a regular basis isn't great for a heating system :)

Thanks for the advice.
My system is a closed non vented pressurised type so there is no expansion pipe.
Any other ideas?

You'll have a safety discharge pipe outside. Check that.

If you haven't you should start worrying. Call in a gsr.

If you have, and there's water coming from it, you've got a problem inside the boiler. Call in a gsr.

If there's no water coming from it, you've got a problem with your system somewhere. Call in a gsr.

Basically, call in a gsr.
