Hello all, I'm hoping someone maybe able to offer some advice on problems with my boiler - it's a Worcester Greenstar 28i Junior approx 5 years old. I'm not a professional plumber or heating engineer although with all the hassles with my boiler I'm beginning to think I should be! I have had a multitude of problems with my boiler over past few years - frozen condense pipe - expansion vessel. All of which have been sorted (to be amazingly limited knowledge!) in the past few months the pressure on the boiler was slowly dropping from 1.5 bar to .05 over a period of a few weeks. I topped up a few times but knew not a permanent solution and hunted for obvious leaks etc and could find none - after speaking to my usual plumber (who I believe are really good) was advised to have a leak sealant added. This was done yesterday, together with new inhibitor, chap topped boiler up to 1.5 & although it's not dropped by much it has a bit over 24 hours. I know this could indicate a leak and I know it could be miniscule - I was told that the sealant "should" stop any leak. Before I get back to plumber could anyone advise me on how I should proceed - I've checked PRV and around radiators & there's no water marks on ceiling from upstairs rads but I know leaks can be miniscule. I'm fast running out of money and I'm not sure that even if I moved downstairs flloorboards I'd know what to look for. My house is old and needs loads of work which I'm saving up for and I will need to re floor within next year or so and will need to up floorboards then. Bit worried if I just leave and top up I will make problem worse and where water's going to. I know there are leak detector companies but not sure what this would consist of, how much it would be and if I even need to go down that route. Although my plumbers seem great I am concerned because I'm a lone female they may think I'm a bit daft and would fall for any old rubbish. Sure not the case but they don't seem to be able to resolve this and it really is causing me concern - I'm having nightmares about the ruddy pressure gauge! So my question is (why ask a simple question when a whole ramble will do!) any suggestions and do I need to worry as much as I am?
With my thanks to you all and if you have got to the end of this monologue - well done on your perserverence!

give the leak sealer a couple of days to have an effect with heating on as normal and it may well solve your problem, the leak sealer doesn't work instantly it takes time

Thanks! Plumber never told me that (but in fairness I didn't ask!) - feel bit of a prat now! I shall check in a few days and hopefully problem will be sorted as I'm getting a tad neurotic keep checking the boiler! Thanks again
