problems with my mums boiler....

pressure dropping, checked rads bathroom leaking - fixed. re charged the boiler to 1 bar, turned heating on, shot up to 3 bar then dropped to half a bar staying there constantly. they say it drops and shoots up, also moves up when hot water is on ???

im thinking expansion vessel?

any other opinions they are getting a new boiler later this year, this one is working fine but they are topping it up a lot. i'll see what its like over next few days now ive fixed the leak on rad.

put some air in exp vessel if its down (depressurise system first) and see how it goes, may last until boiler needs replacing otherwise replace now as expn vessl £60 plus
