Hello,
I'm fairly certain that the pressure release device in my shower has blown but I'm not sure what replacement part I can get. The shower hose has recently been replaced after the lining of the previous one failed which seems to be something that will activate the PRD. I've now replaced the hose but water comes from the behind the unit so I think the PRD needs to be replaced. My issue is that I'm not sure exactly what replacement part I'm looking for and if anyone can offer any advice that would be much appreciated.
The shower is an old Gainsborough GSX (the basic model in this manual: https://www.plumbworld.co.uk/docume...deluxe-electric-shower-installation-guide.pdf). For newer models, it seems that the PRD is integrated in the outlet pipe. However, these outlet pipes all seem to be straight whilst the outlet pipe in my unit is curved. In my unit there is also a part to the left of the outlet pipe this that looks very similar to the replacement triton PRDs I've seen.
If anyone can help identify what part I need to replace, that would be great. It's not a great shower but it works good enough and I'm keen to fix and repair wherever possible.
