My combi boiler (logic 30+) is on the 1st floor and the pressure relief pipe runs straight through the external wall, terminating outside.
The pipe has a grey plastic cap on it, and (admittedly without any ladders to get close) the cap looks like it makes the pipe permanent sealed. It doesn't look like any sort of clever mushroom style cap.
If this pipe really is sealed, what would happen if the system pressure got too high? Where is that water going to go?
