Hi guys got a major job coming up and one thing im in two ways about is getting the boiler and megaflo prv done properly. Both boiler and unvented cylinder are being fitten inside the basement. There is a saniflow there so I was going to go into tundish then overflow pipe into waste/saniflow for both boiler and cylinder. I will need a trap to stop smells coming from tundish so was gona use the fanny one as p trap can evaporate.

Am i overcomplicating things or is there a solution thats more straight forward?

cheers

Not sure what temperature a saniflo can withstand as there is the possibility that it could be recieving water at 100c plus

They make a special sump pump for an unvented prv. It can withstand 100c plus. A search on the web will reveal more.

You can not use a saniflo as said but after saying that ...I have used my saniflo the morning after a good scorching hot curries and it has worked Ok and we are talking some serious temperatures here ......

:toilet:

Little galv tank with submersible pump that can withstand 100 degree water.

Got an idea but need to know if the Saniflo there is connected to a toilet or is it dealing with water from a basin / sink and a washing machine?

No toilet in the basement just sink dishwasher and washing machine.
Is discharging right on the floor an option? Ive seen that in boiler rooms before..

No. Must discharge to a safe area. You could end up with a steam room otherwise!

Do some boiler/cylinder manufacturers not allow a remote PRV? I know Glowworm definitely do

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, pump does seem to be the proper way then. Just got a customer and a g3 guy to convince

Wasn't sure. Was thinking not. Knew it was do-able on some boilers
