bit of a dumb q here but i have never used a pressure tester so....if using say, a rothen £120 type tester on a complete new fit heating system of say.. 8 rads, how much water would you actually need to pump into system to perform a test ??

Will depend on radiator size, pipe runs. Just ensure there is enough water in the bucket and replenish when it needs it, You are not talking gallons here
Cheers

cheers jack, just didnt know if it needed to almost fill the damn system to build pressure. cheers

you need to fill system to remove any air, air compresses so will give false readings
