hi im still having problems on pricing jobs its a baxi 80 instant is to supply and fit new pressure vessel and new prv.. i put a price of 240 fitted am i under charging or dose that sound about right as the boiler has to come off the wall to be done thanks marc

is that supply and fit ? sounds a bit steep, you should probably be charging by the hour for a job like that imho

ok mate thanks yeah that was supply and fit plus 1 man to help lift boiler off and put it back on.. and price includes going and finding the fault

I think that is cheap if you have to remove the boiler. Have you considered fitting another vessel somewhere else on the system so you do not have to remove the boiler?

the guy doesnt want one, so its off the wall job pain in the arse, y do boiler makers do it like that stupid if ya ask me

Double the cost of materials then £45 per hour
that my method on small jobs

Expnvessel and prv cost around 85 plusyour 15-20% and add on your hourly rate, and alls well, then I bet the custard will go for a robo kit thats more like 35 quid for parts and one hours labour!!! if you point out the difference.

ye well if thats supply and fit and theres someone helpin then sounds fair enough, question about fitting an expansion vessel elsewhere on the system how do you know what size to fit ? just curious
