Hi
I have a system boiler downstairs, cylinder tank upstairs in the bathroom with two feeds on side, one feed the other side and one on top
One of the feeds comes from a diverter valve for either hot water, heating or both
In the attic, there's a single tank

Is anyone able to say from that if the cylinder is prismatic?
Not sure if the diverter valve means its not
Having HW pressure trouble with a new mixer shower but not sure if I can use a pump or not

(images attached)

Thanks
Chris

I wouldn't say so

Do you have to tanks in the loft ?

Not sure if it's big, would have to check
What's classed as big?

Pics of boiler should be in my post (hopefully)

Bigger than 1 foot square

Just cylinder in the pics could be a back boiler eg fire or a standard boiler ?

Sorry meant cylinder pics in post, and realised you said boiler... It's late lol

I believe it was a back boiler at some point, but at was replaced with a standard boiler (system, not combi)

Does big tank mean prismatic or small tank?

Ok could be a sealed system that would explain only one tank other than a pri system

I'm not aware of any expansion vessel in the house, just the plastic tank in the attic
Would a sealed system have to have one?

Could be in the boiler need a pic of the boiler to confirm

Would have said sealed system due to what looks like the old feed and vent hacksawed through to the left of the cylinder.

Nd they left all the scrap copper but took out the f+e tank ...

Would need a picture of the boiler yes but could well be a primatic cylinder.
